Abstract

Of 500 inbred lines tested during the kharif season, ten had field resistance to Sclerospora graminicola. These ten were crossed with four male-sterile lines and the F1s evaluated in 1975 in the field. Hybrids from MS55141A X H2, MS5054A X H2 and MS5054 X H8 were not infected with S. graminicola and MS5141A X H2 gave the highest yield
