Abstract

Field-plot tests in Georgia, USA, in 1978--80 showed that chlorpyrifos sprays applied at 0.56 kg a.i./ha, chlorpyrifos granules at 0.84 kg, or fonofos or diazinon granules at a moderately high rate (2.24 kg) were the most consistent of the treatments tested in reducing damage by larvae of Elasmopalpus lignosellus (Zell.) to grain sorghum. These treatments were applied at planting or seedling emergence
