Abstract

Head Smut caused by Sphacelotheca reiliana(Kuehn) Clint., is a disease of economic importance in sudan grass (Sorghum Sudanense) and in grain sorghum (S.Vulgare) grown in California. The disease is widespread in Greenleaf sudan grass commonly grown here as a certified seed crop. The Symptomatology of the disease in Sudan grass is discussed and illustrated......................
