Abstract

Nine characters were studied in 30 strains of P. miliare. Grain yield was positively correlated with number of days to maturity, number of tillers per plant, number of panicles per plant, length of panicle and straw yield. Number of panicles per plant had the highest positive direct effect on grain yield. The regression of grain yield on number of panicles per plant and 100-grain weight was significant
