Abstract
Recent research findings and recommendations (mainly in India and Africa) for the control of stem-borers of cereal crops (especially Chilo partellus (Swinh.), Sesamia inferens (Wlk.), S. cretica Led., Busseola fusca (Fuller) and Eldana saccharina Wlk. on maize and sorghum, and S. inferens, Chilo spp., Maliarpha separatella Rag. and Scirpophaga incertulas (Wlk.) (Tryporyza incertulas) on rice) and grain legumes (especially Maruca testulalis (Geyer) on cowpea [Vigna unguiculata]) are reviewed
