Abstract
The contents of crude protein, total minerals, P, Ca and oxalates decreased with growth of (a) P. miliaceum and (b) S. italica and those of water-soluble carbohydrate increased with increase in age of plants. Cellulose content increased from 20.49 to 32.04% at earing in (a) and 22.18 to 33.6% at flowering in (b) and decreased to 22.21 and 19.56% at maturity in (a) and (b), respectively. The contents of protein and water-soluble carbohydrates were higher in (a) than in (b) at most growth stages
