Abstract
It is well known that in tracing stelar tissues from root tip to steam tip various arrangements and changes in the position of these tissues may be observe. The purpose of this paper is to locae the transition zone, and to describe the changes that take place in the course of the xylem and phloem from root to stem, in two species of the Leguminosae, Cicer arietinum L. and Glottidium floridanum Nash. Since the two are quite unlike in development, they present an interesting contrast.
