Abstract
In crosses involving the Pennisetum typhoides lines T1-7, T1-3, T2-4, T5-4 and T5-6, quadrivalents, hexavalents and a decavalent were obtained. Gamma irradiation of these lines and their crosses produced, in the M1-M3, quadrivalents, octavalents, a decavalent and a multivalent involving all 14 chromosomes. In the interchange heterozygotes, pollen sterility increased as the number of chromosomes involved increased and reached 99.9% in the case where all 14 chromosomes were involved
