Abstract
Bajra(Pennisetum typhoides Stapf. and Hubb.) is an important millet grown extensively in the northern district of Mysure state. A wide range of variability for most of the morphological characters has been observed. Although there are some reports as to the genetic architecture of some of these characters of Bajara varieties from other states, no such information is available for the varieties grown in Mysure State. Hence this stud was taken up.
