Abstract
The effect aqueous extracts of leaf, stem and root of two “forms” of the word celosia aregentea has been studied on the germination of seed and seedling and growth of pennisetum typhoideum and sesamum indicom. There appears some growth inhibiting substances in C. argentea which seems to be different in their chemical nature in the two forms. The order of growth inhibition was leaf> stem> root>. In field maximum inhibition was noted where this weed .................
