Abstract
In trials with sorghum grown with 45 kg N + 50 kg P2O5 + 25 kg K2O/ha applied to a loamy sand and 60 kg N/ha as a top dressing or a foliar spray, seed treatment with 500 p.p.m. Cycocel [chlormequat] or a foliar application of 100-300 p.p.m. chlormequat had no effect on grain yield. Additional application of N during the growth period had no effect on yield and grain protein content
