Abstract
EXTENWE RESEARCH HAS BEEN CONDUCIBD On Johnson grass in humid parts of Texas with dalapon (2,2.dichlom propionic add), MSMA(monosodium acid, methane arsonate) and DSMA (disodium methaneasonnte) [1,2,3]. Johnsongrass control has been outstanding in central and eastern Texas when the herbicides were applied as directed on the labels. Unfortunately, in the drier areas of Texas, particularly the High Plains, results with their herbicides have not always been satisfactory. Therefore, studies to determine factors that affect their toxicity have been conducted in the High Plains at various times since 1958..................
