Abstract
Lindane, BHC. phorate and quinalphes are applied to soil as granular formulations to control soil inhabiting pests and for their systemic action in plants. In sorghum, shootfly and stem borer are the two major pests which attack the crop in the early stages and the application of the above mentioned insecticides by virtue of their contact and systemic action can effectively control them. The present investigation was carried out to study the translocation and persistence of insecticides residues in sorghum crop when applied as granules to soil............
