Abstract
The genus striga belongs to the series Rhionanthae of the family Scrophulariaceae, and include 49 species according to the index Kewnsis and supplements up to the year 1940. All are more or less parasitic on the roots of other plants and the distribution of the genus seems to be confined of the old World species of Africa....................
