Abstract

Bray powder (MnSO4+ground Zn+sulfanilic acid+alphanaphthylamine mixed with BaSO4) applied to the exposed pith is useful for evaluating the N nutritional status of the plants, for diagnosing N deficiencies in the field and as a basis for fertilizer N recommendations. It may also be used for monitoring N fertilizer programs in relation to excesses
