Abstract

Since the classical cytological investigations on the rust fungi by Blackman (1904) and Christman (1905) numerous papers have been published on this and related aspects of these fungi by workers who have found the mode of initiation of the dicaryon to be either of the 'Blackman Type' (nuclear migrations) or the 'Christman Type' (cell fusions). ............
