Abstract
One hundred genotypes of pigeonpea [Cajanus cajan (L.) Millsp.] were used to study the association between seed yield and its components by path coefficient analyst It was revealed by path coefficient analysis that pods per plant had the highest direct effect on seed yield followed by 100-seed weight, seeds per pod and days to flower. The importance of these characters in selection of high yielding genotypes in pigeonpea has been discussed
