Abstract
In the course of preparing an account of Panicum for the Flora of Tropical East Africa it was necessary to examine this genus throughout tropical Africa. The study revealed several new spp. and these are described here as P. omega, P. ephemerum, P. subtilissimum, P. sabiense, P. nudiflorum, P. letouzeyi, P. chambeshii, P. wiehei, P. mlahiense, P. shinyangense and P. carneovaginatum.
