Abstract
The reent methods of Van Soest (1967) involving the estimation of cell-wall constituents and cell solubles have replaced the Weende system of proximte analysis of feedstuffs. Data are lacking on the detailed analysis of cereal grains and their by-products as per the recent methods delineated above. In view of this, the methods of Van Soest (1967) were applied to analyse some of the cereal grains and their by-products. In addition, the in vitro digestibilities were also determined, and the figures were compared with those obtained by Van Soest (1967) methods of calculating digestibility from the all-wall constituents...
