Abstract

Contents of lysine and protein were determined in 69 hybrids derived from crosses between Combine Kafir 60 and varieties from northern Cameroon. Total protein content ranged from 8.8 to 16.8% and lysine content from 2.20 to 3.35% of total protein. Absolute lysine content increased with increasing protein content but relative lysine percentage decreased with increasing protein content
