Abstract
Among the millets grown in the vizagapatam District ragi occupy prominent place. It is raised over an area of 2, 70,000 acres and forms part of the food for 75 per cent of the population . It is frown all the years round, either in the wet, garden or dryland; consequently its grain is available at all times for the payment of wages in Kind............................
