Abstract

The resistance of 43 sorghum hybrids to attack by natural infestations by Contarinia sorghicola (Coq.) was evaluated in field tests at Rahuri, Maharashtra, India, in 1976-77. The number of adults emerging from bagged earheads and of damaged grains showed that SC 423 (IS 2579 C), SGIRL-MR-1 and SC 173 (IS 2664 C) were the least susceptible, and CSH-1 and Mms-17 R-B the most susceptible
