Abstract

Examination of sorghum earheads collected at various sites in the Indian State of Karnataka in 1970-72 revealed that the incidence of Contarinia sorghicola (Coq.) was high from June to October, reaching a peak in August or September, but decreased thereafter, being lowest in January. The incidence of parasites (Eupelmus popa Gir. and Tetrastichus spp.) of C. sorghicola was found to be high from May to September, but low from December to March
