Abstract

Details are given of the numbers of land races collected by ICRISAT staff in 1976-77 and of other Pennisetum accessions held at ICRISAT, including those belonging to 11 species and three interspecific hybrids. Objectives and methods of germplasm maintenance and the production of germplasm pools are outlined.
