Abstract
Grains of various kinds, types, and varieties have been produced in Arkansas for many years. In the past, most of the hybrids and varieties used were developed in other states and imported for use in Arkansas. Recently some new hybrids of grain sorghum have been developed in .4rkansas and in neighboring states that have very desirable characteristics. These hybrids yield satisfactorily. Some have bird-resistant qualities and some are shatter resistant, but all are quite vulnerable to lodging loss if left in the field too long btfore harvesting.
