Abstract

During field trials in 1982 in Arizona and California, sequential spraying of fluazifop at 0.42 or 0.56 kg/ha with 2-4 wk between the 2 applications gave more than 85% control of Sorghum halepense and Cynodon dactylon without injury to cotton. Best results were obtained when S. halepense was 30-45 cm high and C. dactylon had stolons 10-20 cm long. Yields of cotton from plots treated with fluazifop were significantly greater than those from untreated plots or plots treated with DSMA, MSMA or glyphosate
