Abstract
During ,the summer of 1955, observations made and experimental work conducted in El Salvador were conducive to the compilation of the following list of parasitic fungi causing diseases of cultivated plants, with special emphasis on those of particular economic importance. This report in no way constitutes a plant disease survey of the area, as has been previously published (I, 2). Immediately following will be some pertinent observations, after which there will be an alphabetized list according to the common Spanish name of the host plants followed by their Latin binomial, the name of the causal organism, and the name of the disease in Spanish.
