Abstract
In a survey of seed-borne fungi of Sorghum bicolor from the Sudan, 43 species have been isolated. Nine isolates are new host records for S. bicolor, 18 isolates are new records for the Sudan. The percentage frequencies of fungi in the seeds and in the samples have been calculated. Seed discoloration in some varieties has been found to be strongly correlated with the presence of seed-borne fungi and was associated with low percentage germination.
