Abstract
Sorghum earhead worm, identified as Cryptoblabes gnidiefla bfiliicre (Lepidoplera: Pyralidae) was recorded for the first time from Hnryana state on sorghum crop. The larvae of this pest feed on the grains. They form web out of the excreta and silken thrcads on the cobs. The number of caterpillar pep earhead of sorghum varied from 3 to 11. The larval period varied from l"2 to 20 days. Pupation tnok place inside the silken webs end pupal period was about 6 to 15 days under laboratory conditions
