Abstract

The effectiveness of various treatments with a total of 11 insecticides for the control of Atherigona soccata Rond. on sorghum was evaluated in field tests in India in the kharif and rabi seasons of 1975. Average percentage of dead-hearts up to the 28th day showed that furrow application of carbofuran granules gave the best control in both seasons and resulted in the highest grain yield in the rabi season
