Abstract

The principal features of photothermal models are summarized and illustrated using soyabeans, cowpeas, Asiatic Vigna spp., chickpeas, lentils and barley. A number of photothermal responses (involving unambiguous parameters and limits) which quantify the linear, non-interacting effects of photoperiod and temperature on the rate of progress towards flowering are described.
