Abstract

In field tests in Maharashtra, India, of resistance to sorghum to shootfly [Atherigona soccata Rond.] and stem-borer [Chilo partellus (Swinh.)], 18 varieties were tested in 1977-78 and 15 in 1978-79. All the selections tested were promising for resistance to both pests, and 5 varieties resistant to moderate infestations were found in the present studies in addition to those investigated previously
