Abstract
Chromosome pairing during meiosis of five interchange heterozygotes showed ring quadrivalents to be more frequent than chains. Pollen sterility was lower than expected indicating alternate chromosome segregation of the ring quadrivalents. As more chromosomes became involved in the interchange complex the percentage of pollen sterility increased. Transmission of translocated chromosomes was 58.6% through ovules and 43.2% through pollen
