Abstract

Various reports in the literature point out that if the plant^ are manipulated through defolistion or shading techniques, the rate of photosynthesis of the intact green parts of such plants changer markedly and rhua the loss due to the decrate in photosyo. thetic surface is compenr~ted to some extent.
