Abstract

A field experiment was conducted at Agricultural Research Station, Dhari (Gujarat) during kharif 2001–2004 to study the effect of sulphur application on yield of groundnut and soil fertility under rainfed agriculture. Maximum pod yield (1914 kg ha−1) as well as net realization (Rs. 25360 ha−1) were recorded with application of sulphur through SOP in addition to recommend dose of fertilizer (12.5: 25 kg NP ha−1). The available potassium and sulphur status after harvesting of crop were significantly affected due to different treatments
