Abstract
Studies of the effects of variations of temperature and & water deficit on leaf photosynthetic rates were initiated using the leaf chamber technique. The two factors were varied independently; high temperatures and water deficits were found which depressed leaf photosynthetic rates. Stomatal widths were also measured.
