Abstract

A field experiment was conducted at Water and Land Use Management Institute (WALMI) Farm, Dharwad during kharif season of 2006 to study the effect of organic manures on plant growth, seed yield and quality of soybean. Application of recommended dose of fertilizers (40:80:25 kg NPK/ha) with recommended dose of FYM (5 t/ha) recorded significantly higher seed yield (22.35 q/ha) and yield components. The application of RDF + FYM recorded higher seed quality parameters viz. germination (96.76%), seedling vigour index (3713) and field emergence (93.33%).
