Abstract
Eight genotypes of chickpea were evaluated for their susceptibility to Callosobruchus cxdhinensis (L.) and C. analis (F.) under storage condition. To assess the host susceptibility, different parameters viz., number of eggs, per cent emergence, mean development period (MDP) and growth index (GI) of C. chinensis (L.) and C. analis (F.) under choice and no choice condition were studied. Out of 8 cultivars, DG- 5041 was found least susceptible to C. chinensis under both conditions (choice and no choice). However, in case of C. analis two cultivars (BG-1103 and BG-1101) were found least susceptible under choice and no choice condition. In latter condition, development of C. analis was inhibited completely on BG-1103, Pusa 372, DG-5041 and BG-2019
