Abstract

Field screening was carried out to identify sources of resistance to three groundnut pests. A total of 1,OO0 genotypes of groundnut were screened for resistance to the jassid (Emgoasca kern' Pruthi), 2,700 for resistance to the thrips (Fhnkliniella schultzei (Trybom)), and 530 for resistance to pod scarifying termites (Odontotermes sp.). Genotypes with multiple resistance to these pests were identified from the 3 years field screening trials and some of them have been used in the breeding program at ICRISAT
