Abstract
A diagnostic survey was conducted in rice growing areas across different blocks and districts of Jammu region, viz. Jammu, Kathua and Udhampur, for identification of N, P, and K imbalance through DRIS (Diagnosis and Recommendation Integrated System), taking 121 sets of plant samples data composition and corresponding yields. DRIS indices identified relative orders of N, P and K requirement by precisely calculating relative insufficiency/excess/balance. On an average 83, 30 and 5% rice were designated as having major relative deficiency on the other hand, 11,19 and 88 percent were in excess in N, P and K, respectively. Multiple regression analysis showed that 71.1% yield was significantly affected by DRIS-K only. Rests of the factors were insignificant
