Abstract
The response of six groundnut (Arachis hypogaea) genotypes (PG-480, BARD-699, PG-759, Swat phali-96, Parachinar and ICGS-50) to NP fertilization was examined using four NP levels (control, 18:46 NP kg ha-1, 27:69 NP kg ha-1 and 36:92 NP kg ha-1). The experiment was carried out in RCB design with split plot arrangement with three replications. The groundnut genotypes were assigned to main plots while NP fertilizer doses were applied to subplots. NP fertilization significantly increased days to 50% flowering, days to maturity, plant height (cm), and pod yield (kg ha-1). Groundnut genotypes significantly affected all agronomic characters except emergence m-2. Similarly, the interaction effect of NP levels and genotypes was also significant for all parameters studied except emergence m-2. Maximum pod yield (kg ha-1) was recorded by groundnut variety BARD-699. On the other hand, highest pod yield (kg ha-1) was observed with NP level 27:69 kg ha-1.
