Abstract
An experiment was conducted at College Farm, N. M. College of Agriculture, NAU, Navsari with five levels of phosphorus fertilizers and three levels of phorphorus biofertilizers to study the effect of integrated phosphorus management on chickpea yield, quality, economics, nutrient content and uptake. Application of 75% RDP (Recommended Dose of Phosphorus) through SSP (Single Super Phosphate) + 25% RDP through RP (Rock Phosphate) (F4) recorded significantly higher seed yield (19.34 q ha-1), straw yield (27.65 q ha-1), protein content (21.00 %), available P2O5 after harvest (40.01 kg ha-1), total N, P and K content (4.67, 0.97 and 2.33 % , respectively) and total N, P and K uptake (101.46, 20.81 and 57.56 kg ha-1, respectively) and it was found at par with application of 100% RDP through SSP (F1) in all the above cases. Maximum net realization and BCR were also recorded with application of 75% RDP through SSP + 25% RDP through RP (F4). Among different biofertilizers PSB (Phosphorus solubilising bacteria) + AM (Arbascular Mycorrhiza) (B3) recorded significantly highest seed yield (18.94 q ha-1), straw yield (26.48 q ha-1), protein content (20.56 %), available P2O5 after harvest (39.27 kg ha-1), total N, P and K content and total N, P and K uptake with maximum net realization and benefit cost ratio. The integrated use of 75% RDP through SSP + 25% RDP through RP and combined use of AM with PSB can be for better yield of chickpea.
