Abstract
Information on genetic variance and heritability is derived from data on 6 yield components in full sib and half-sib progenies, developed according to North Carolina Design 1, from the composite [P. glaucum] population JOB GT1. Mass selection based on number and length of ears was the most suitable approach for improving yield
