Abstract
Hissar is Located inn the semi and tract of Haryana at latitude of 29.10 and a 75'46' in the sub tropical zone. Mean annual rainfall is 381 mm of which approximately 300 mm is receives during the monsoon season extending from July to mid September, July and August are the only months with somewhat assured rainfall. The annual rainfall is however highly erratic and variable. The CV is 39 per cent based on 1941-70 data
