Abstract
This paper describes, through a case study, how the On-Farm Seed Project (OFSP) in Senegal has farmer-participatory research to improve resource-poor farmer's production of rice seed and food grain. Though the example is specific, the principles it illustrates - for conducting research and for applying that research to improve seed systems- may be useful to other types of projects and other areas of the world.
