Abstract
Global warming is an environmental thrust which is - for all practical purposes - irreversible not only in our lifetimes but in our children's and grand children's' as well. In this paper the author discusses the causesfor global warming/green house effect, the threat of climatic change to mankind and the steps to be taken to control global warming effect including policy decisions at national and international levels
