Abstract
The objectives of the Small Farmer Marketing Workshop were to review marketing Workshop were marketing initiatives and improvement programmes in terms which would assist small farmers to become more productive and attain higher income. Additionally, "Strategies for Action" in four major areas of concern(Group Action, Government, Private Entrepreneurs, and Contract Farming) Were to be developed that would give guidance to the development of realistic programmes for assisting small farmers. In all, 14 case studies, presented by representative from 9 countries, divided themselves into the four major areas under consideration and led to the following conclusions.
