Abstract
The following report on the Seminar summaries the participants discussions on the topics in the agenda. The meeting was motivated mainly by the difficulties in which many marketing boards in Africa now find themselves. Besides assisting boards, government and other officials in identifying their problems and finding possible solutions it was hoped that government might become more aware of the problems associated with the establishment and operation of marketing boards. This report may be considered as a supplement to the FAO Marketing Guide No.5, Agricultural Marketing Boards, Their Establishment and Operation. Therefore, Wherver possible, material from the publication has not been included in the following text
