Abstract

An annotated list of Sunan fungi and plant diseases was published in 1955+ and comprised specimens collected up to 1952, most of the present author’s collections up to number JT 1950 being included. Since 1952, extensive collecting has been carried out in several parts of the sudan, and the present list summaries “new” fungi and plan diseases collected during 1953-57, specimens up to accession number SMH (Sudan Mycological Herbarium) 3050 being included. Additions to the host range of known fungal pathogens are listed in the final section. Although there has been some collecting as time and opportunity allowed in most parts to the sudan during the past five years, attention has been directed primarily to the wetter central and southern regions and, less extensively, to the Red Sea Hills and coast in the north-east...
