Abstract
The performance of 21 sorghum hybrids was evaluated in a field experiment conducted in Karnataka, India during the post-rainy season of 2000-01. The hybrid CSH 19R recorded the highest 1000-grain weight (29.69 g). Differences in grain yield, stover yield, plant height, panicle weight, grain weight, and panicle length and diameter of the hybrids studied were not significant. Correlation coefficients indicated that grain yield was positively and significantly correlated with plant height, stover yield, grain and panicle weight, 1000-grain weight and panicle diameter and length.
